Description

"So, I just sat under the banyan tree. Some of my friends also sat near me. We were silent for a long time. There was a desire to talk to each other, even in a low voice, but a man standing there was repeatedly pointing his finger at our mouth and indicating that we should remain silent. So, we were silently enjoying the shade of the banyan tree.

Most of the branches of the banyan had taken the form of a tree and instead of being a single banyan, the banyan had become a community of banyan trees-like a big pavilion. Many foreign devotees were hugging one banyan tree or the other, and were paying obeisance. As soon as even the slightest sound came from anywhere, that man would reach there with his finger on his mouth. A bird chirped. Then, after some time, a papiha, i.e. brainfever bird, also started calling out-"Where are you, where are you?" Wow, the bird broke the silence. Now someone should silence him. It seemed as if I was speaking through the birds. I got lighter, and said to the friend sitting nearby, "Now someone should make him quiet." By then the person who was supposed to maintain silence came gesturing. The bird was speaking. I gestured to silence him. He smiled and waved his hand wondering how anyone could silence it."
